We are coming to the end of 2022, and it has been a rich year, both in the regions in Africa where we intervene and in Belgium. These images offer a reminder of some of the milestones of the past year.
“A healthy planet” – why we protect the environment as well
At the beginning of the year, we updated our slogan to read: “Healthy animals, healthy people, healthy planet.”That change has to do with our desire to emphasise the importance of the environment in our unique vision of health, as well as in our activities.
Green energy and livestock farming
The launch of project ‘EVE’ (Energie Verte & Elevage – Green Energy & Livestock) took place on Tuesday 30th September in Nyamagabe district in Southern Province of Rwanda, with the participation of many invited guests, including local and national dignitaries, representatives of VSF Belgium’s partners from local and international NGOs, including IMBARAGA (VSF’s main local partner), and the representative from the Belgian embassy in Kigali.

Meeting the agronomy and veterinary students of Kabutare

Move for Africa is an awareness campaign on development cooperation, organized by the Belgian newspaper La Libre Belgique. Students from the Collège de Bellevue in Dinant travelled to Rwanda to discover the projects of Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Belgium. They exchanged experiences with the local population to get a better view of development issues such as poverty and food security. On their trip, they wrote a blog.
