From 28 September to 13 October, Belgian herders will walk from Achelse Kluis to Brussels with a flock of 350 sheep as part of the European Herders’ March. Joined by Loupa Pius, a pastoralist from Uganda, they are raising awareness of the vital role herders play in protecting rangelands, biodiversity and ecosystems.
